Bristol Scholars 

Year 13 

Contextual offer 4 grades lower, free tutoring, bursary. Students who want to stay in Bristol but have had some barriers/challenges which mean they would normally thrive studying at Bristol but might not quite get the grades. Access to Bristol 

Year 12 & Year 13 (2 terms) 

Taking part shows a commitment to further study that will strengthen your application when you apply to university. On completion,  guaranteed a contextual offer/interview from Bristol. You will get an idea of what it is like to study at the University of Bristol, working with academics and current students who can offer advice and guidance about higher education and their subject area. Pathways to Health Sciences (Bristol Uni) 

Year 12 only (2 years) 

 Insight into our Health Science programmes (Medicine, Dentistry, and Veterinary Science). As a participant, you will take part in academic taster sessions delivered by our leading academics, NHS Clinicians, and current students. You will also have the opportunity to practice clinical skills and talk to professionals from your chosen field. In addition to the academic and professional sessions, the programme will provide you with personal statement and interview workshops to help you prepare for your application to university. Pathway to Bath 

Year 12  

Pathway to Bath is a free blended learning programme to develop key skills for university study with the opportunity to attend a free 3-day summer residential visit to experience life as a student at Bath. Flexible one hour per week commitment. Completion can result in alternative offer. Doesn’t apply to all subjects, student must meet at least one widening participation criteria Pathway to Bath Programme

Available to students applying from disadvantaged backgrounds (young carer, refugee/asylum seeker, care leaver etc.) Involves a flexible program to make transition to university life easier. Covers many aspects of university life. If program is passed by July 31st then an alternative offer will be given – grade requirement for the course will be dropped by one. Free, online programme that supports Year 13 students through the journey of making a university application. You will have the opportunity to meet other students applying for your subjects, chat with undergraduates already enrolled on courses at Bath and get help with your UCAS application, including 1:1 personal statement support and exclusive Admissions Tutor sessions. UWE Heading Higher Passport Plus 

Year 12 & Year 13 

Available to students applying to an undergraduate degree and come from a disadvantaged background. Upon complettion students receive an extra 40 UCAS tariff points towards any UWE undergraduate degrees/20 UCAS tariff points towards any UWE foundation degrees. Requires completion of learning portfolio supervised by HPP coordinator HHP-Plus-booklet.pdf (uwe.ac.uk)

Exeter Scholars is a free programme giving you the opportunity to find out more about university, develop a passion for a chosen subject, and gain first-hand experience of student life at the University of Exeter. Newcastle PARTNERS programme 

Year 13 

PARTNERS programme allows up to a three grade reduction for any Newcastle undergraduate degree. Involves attending a summer school and requires Newcastle to be firm choice. Realising Opportunities 

Year 12 (2 years) 

RO is a unique collaboration of leading research intensive universities working together to promote fair access to university and professions. The RO programme gives students a wide range of information in a variety of ways in order for students to have the space and support to make informed decisions. Students participating in RO have access to all of the RO Partner universities throughout their time on the programme with alternative offers available for those who successfully complete Welcome to Realising Opportunities - Realising Opportunities
